How Does a Coach Help You? Four Ways It Can Change Your Life!

By Debbie Snow

A coach’s passion is a strong belief that we all can live a life serving our highest good with the right tool set in our grasp.

The words I use to describe what I do when I am coaching is listen, guide and motivate. I move folks from what is to what might be, breaking the cycle of ambiguity when our thoughts no longer serve their highest good.

My personal desire is to help people live a peaceful life. By that I don’t mean boring, inactive, or unmotivated — it means living the life you want without worry or limiting beliefs that cause stress. Peaceful living feels like freedom – living from the inside out.

It was my own search for peace and a deeper meaning to my life that led me to coaching. A coach loves helping you explore more about yourself, to find your own unique deeper meaning and discover what might be in the next phase of your life.

I work with individuals who are looking to create a pathway to reach their set goals, even if they don’t know what their goals are when they start. I act as an unbiased thinking partner who holds you accountable with regular sessions. Those sessions give you focused time to build skills, shift your mindset, and set you up for unprecedented success.

Coaching can help you:

  1. Find peace no matter what situation you face.
  2. Track your life’s purpose.
  3. Navigate safely through change.
  4. Create a life full of vitality and meaning.

Each Coach has their own path of training and education that brings their own unique blend to their style. Along with my Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Education, I’m a Martha Beck trained Life Coach, Gallup trained StrengthsFinder Coach, a Mediator, and a certified Life Cycle Celebrant. I value all of my education but what I appreciate most is the wisdom I have gained along the way simply by living life.

My adaptability and talent for breaking down difficult concepts helps empower people to discover their truest path and focus on the best next steps for them. As a Strengths Coach, I pay special attention to showing my clients how to leverage their strengths to flourish in whatever it is they choose to do with their time.

Are you wondering about a coach for you? Are you unsure about how to get where you want to go? Start right here with our assessment.

We cannot wait to get to know you, understand what light’s you up and step you into it.

When I was younger, I never knew what I wanted to do to earn money.
I felt like everyone else had been given a manual on how to live and go after what they wanted. I had no idea what I even liked, much less where to focus my energy.
I felt there were endless possibilities, yet plotting a course forward was puzzling and terrifying. I knew I wanted to be successful and do things that I could be proud of, I just didn’t know which direction to go.
I floundered in the jobs and the opportunities I did get as I didn’t have the confidence to make them successful. I always felt like I was missing something meaningful.
There were aspects of each job that I did well and that made me feel good or excited, I just couldn’t find anything that kept me engaged consistently.
Looking around and seeing my friends excel in school and jobs only added to my feelings of inadequacy and being lost. I wanted what they had.
At 29 years old, I fell into a sales role with a company that had solid structure and a way to be promoted from within (they were willing to train me to lead). It felt manageable, so I focused on working my way up learning key competencies and gaining confidence along the way.
I was very fortunate to have leaders that were true mentors. They shared their knowledge and key insights with me freely. If it wasn’t for their focused efforts and the good timing of promotions into elevated positions, I don’t think I would have gotten as far as I did.
Many people and factors contributed to my overall success. I often wondered if I had known how to harness my own unique potential, it could have made a positive difference for me years earlier.
I now understand there are many people that struggle with understanding their potential and choosing a fulfilling path to earn money. I would like to support a better future in this area.
